The Romans and the Huns

The Huns came from Mongolia lead by Xiongnu in the first century AD. In 434 A.D. Attila and his brother Bleda became the rulers for the Hun tribes. Their land went from central Asia to modern day Germany. In 447 A.D. Attila became the sole ruler of the Hun tribes as his brother was dead. Attila died in 453 A.D. because he choked to death after suffering a severe nose bleed.

The Huns were a nomadic tribe, that numbered in the hundreds of thousands. Attila untied all the Huns in the Europe and went to the west. They ended up in Gaul which is modern day France. Attila and the Huns were defeated in the battle of Catalaunian Plains by the Romans and the Visigoths. After that defeat Attila and the Huns tried to invade Italy in 452 but were defeated by the plague and by the fact that and Attila died the following year in 453.

Islam

Intro

Islam is a religion that started in the middle east and has went all over the world. All the Islam people worship the Koran as their holy book.

Founder

The founder of the religion Islam, Mohammad, was orphaned at the age of six. He married a rich widow and had six children with her. That moon and star is the religious symbol of Islam.

Followers

Islam has 1.2 billion people that believe in Islam, making it one of the biggest religions in the world. Most of the followers of Islam are in Tndonesia, Pakista, Banalades, and India.

Religious holidays

Islam has a lot of religious holidays like Ashura is which they fast of a day. Eid ul Adha is when they remember the prophets Lailatalmiraj is the telling the story of how the prophet Mohammad was visited by two archangels. Some more holidays are Romadan is the month for fasting, 'ID Eidul Fitr is the ending of the month of fasting.

Customs

The Islam customs developed so that they use their left hand to clean your self and they use there right hand for every thing else like shaking hands. The Koran is only picked up by the right hand. You should take off your shoes when going in to some households.

Clothing

The Islam have to cover the entire body except there hands and there cloths have to hang loose.

This is what the Islam people wear every day.

Can a big group for people get a long with every one in that community?

Can a big group for people get along with every one in that community? I think that to

an extent they can even if there are people that try to get other people mad at each other.
People who spread bad rumors would be in this group and also try to start fights out of little things.

Then some times people just get mad for dumb reasons.
A dumb reason would be to believe a rumor without checking it out first.
That's why people should not even listen to rumors like supposedly someone said something bad about them.
So I think people in Neighborhoods should focus on the good things and not the rumors.
If they hear a rumor

about them you can just go to there house and talk to them or some thing like that.
The community should do fun things together like my neighborhood did a block party.
Everyone got together to talk and eat. This would help you get to know people so you wouldn't be
tempted to start rumors about them. Also you would get to know the people in your community so if there
is a problem you are more comfortable talking to them.

I saw an awesome website on how to get along with people. It tells you some good tips like to observe that person with different people. Some different tips are like not to think a bond will happen right way and if you don't like that person just talk as little as you can to them. If you are nervous around them you will eventually get comfortable around them. When you first meet them just say hi my name is and see what happens. Also smiling never hurts when meeting new people so smile. Try to find out their interest to talk about. If you don't like the person one day give them a second chance. They may just be having a bad day. Don't try to be their friend right away and force friend activities. Wait until after they get to know you better and you get to know them better. This would help people who are shy and have a hard time making new friends. It gives them tips on how to get to know people.

what is a community

As a part of team 3, I am excited to be blogging this year on the topic of co-existence. My community is my neighborhood. My community is all the people that live in my cul-da-sac. My neighborhood has 12 houses, there are around 4 or 5 kids in my neighborhood. None of them are my age. A couple are older and the others are younger. I was sick when they had the last block party. Many of the houses are getting new roofs. They were damaged by hail this summer. Our house is getting one in 2 weeks. The house are mainly one story houses. On the sidewalk in front of our house they just had to replace a water main. This happened to half of the houses on the block. They put the cement in wrong in front of some of the houses so they had to reput the cement in the sidewalk. There is a grade school that I went to that is a block away. We can hear the bells at our house. There is 4 dogs including ours that live in our court. One weighs over 100 pounds and another one weighs less than 10 pounds.
